Gridiron to Giving
In a city known for its skyline chili, gridiron grit, and deep-rooted community pride, few names carry as much weight as Ken Anderson. The Cincinnati Bengals icon—four-time Pro Bowler, NFL MVP, and one of the most respected quarterbacks in league history—is once again using his star power for something far more important than stats or trophies.
On Friday, June 6, from 5:30 to 9:30 PM, the Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati will transform into a celebration of compassion and community at the Ken & Friends Fundraiser, benefiting the Ken Anderson Alliance (KAA)—a nonprofit dedicated to creating live, work, and social opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. This isn't just another gala. It's a high-energy, big-hearted gathering designed to make a lasting difference.
While many know Anderson for his on-field accolades, fewer may realize that he’s spent the last decade quietly building an off-field legacy rooted in service. Founded in 2014, the Ken Anderson Alliance addresses a crucial but often overlooked issue: what happens to individuals with developmental disabilities after they age out of school-based support?
KAA is answering that question by developing innovative solutions like:
“Just Brew” Coffee House: A café that employs and empowers adults with disabilities.
Community programming that offers purpose-driven social engagement.
Independence Landing: A forthcoming residential community where adults with disabilities can live independently with dignity and support.
This annual fundraiser plays a vital role in advancing that vision.
Ken & Friends doesn’t settle for a rubber-chicken dinner and a few speeches. It’s a full-throttle experience that pairs top-tier entertainment with heartfelt storytelling and tangible impact. Guests will enjoy:
A Chef-Crafted Dinner & Open Bar
Start the night with a delicious meal curated by top culinary talent and an open bar to keep spirits high. The venue’s elevated setting brings a touch of Vegas flair right to the heart of downtown Cincinnati.
Live Music & Entertainment
The soundtrack to the night will be upbeat and unforgettable, featuring live music that adds an electric atmosphere to the cause-driven event.
Onstage Appearances by Bengals Royalty
NFL legends like Boomer Esiason, Dave Lapham, Bob Trumpy Jr., and Solomon Wilcots are expected to join Ken Anderson onstage. They'll share locker room stories, Super Bowl reflections, and their shared belief in the power of giving back.
Live & Silent Auctions
Looking for signed jerseys, sideline passes, or one-of-a-kind experiences? The live and silent auctions are a collector’s dream. Every bid goes toward changing lives.
Stories That Stay With You
The heart of the night belongs to the people whose lives have been transformed by the Ken Anderson Alliance. Guests will hear first-hand how the organization has provided jobs, friendships, independence, and hope to adults with developmental disabilities—many of whom rarely get to share their stories on stages like this.
According to the CDC, about 1 in 6 children in the U.S. has a developmental disability. As those children grow into adulthood, many are met with systems that are unequipped to support their independence. Programs like KAA are not “nice-to-haves”—they are essential pathways to dignity and community.
In an age when so many fundraisers compete for your attention, Ken & Friends distinguishes itself through authenticity. This is not charity for charity’s sake—it’s a genuine, grassroots effort led by someone who has traded gridiron glory for civic impact.
If you're over 21 and looking for a way to make your Friday night count, tickets are still available at kenandersonalliance.org. You can also sponsor a table, donate directly to the organization, or volunteer your time at future KAA events.
Cincinnati has always rallied around its heroes. On June 6, Ken Anderson invites the city to rally once more—not for touchdowns or trophies, but for people. For purpose. For possibility. And for a future where no adult with a developmental disability is left behind.
If that’s not worth showing up for, what is?
