Community Nights and Cultural Lights
Welcome CincyNKY 2024 is a months-long celebration of the resilience and creativity of immigrants and refugees in Greater Cincinnati, running through Nov. 13. This series highlights unique cultural identities through art, performances, and storytelling, brought to life by local partners such as Summermusik and A Picture's Worth. One of the main highlights is during the BLINK festival, where Summermusik teams up with A Picture’s Worth for community nights filled with live music, art, and immersive experiences.
BLINK, an outdoor light and art festival held in Covington and Cincinnati, is known for its stunning light installations, projections, and interactive events. During this time, Summermusik will hold performances at Roebling Books in Covington and Newport, while "More than Meets the Eye," a special exhibit on the Purple People Bridge, showcases stories of hope and peace from local immigrants.
Summermusik, an annual classical music festival by the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, enhances these events with its eclectic performances, blending music with storytelling and visual art. Together with A Picture’s Worth, they create an engaging atmosphere that highlights the rich narratives of Cincinnati’s immigrant community. Check out the video below during one of their rehersals from this past summer.
Join in on the fun—attend free events, experience the art of BLINK, and celebrate the stories that shape our community!
