A Winter Pitch Inside the Park

The crack of the bat may quiet after the final out of the season, but the story of Reds baseball never stops. This winter, fans can step behind the scenes of Great American Ball Park and experience the home of the Cincinnati Reds in a way few ever do. The Reds Hall of Fame and Museum presented by Dinsmore is once again offering offseason Ballpark and Clubhouse Tours, transforming quiet corridors and locker rooms into living lessons in baseball history.

A Winter Tradition for the True Fan

The Reds Hall of Fame, located at 100 Joe Nuxhall Way, invites guests to explore the inner workings of Great American Ball Park from October through March. These guided, small-group tours give fans the rare opportunity to walk through spaces normally reserved for players, coaches, and media.

There are two options to choose from, each designed for a different kind of baseball lover.

  • Great American Ball Park Tour (Saturdays and Sundays, 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM, October 11–March 15)
A 90-minute experience that stops at Crosley Terrace, the Handlebar, Champions Club, Scouts Club presented by Belterra Park, Lexus Diamond Club, and the warning track and dugouts.

  • Major League Clubhouse Tour (Saturdays and Sundays, 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM, October 25–March 8)
A two-hour deep dive that includes the Reds and visitors’ clubhouses, the media room, broadcast booths, and batting tunnels for an immersive look into the daily rhythm of Major League Baseball.

All tours include same-day admission to the Reds Hall of Fame and Museum, a 16,000-square-foot tribute to the club’s 150-year history. Tickets are available now at RedsMuseum.org or by calling (513) 765-7923.

Where History Meets the Field

The tours are more than sightseeing. They are storytelling. Expert guides share tales of triumph, heartbreak, and transformation that shaped Cincinnati’s baseball identity. From Crosley Terrace, where bronze statues honor past greats, to the underground batting tunnels where current stars refine their swings, each stop connects eras and generations.

For those who grew up cheering in the bleachers or collecting trading cards, standing on the warning track where heroes have celebrated walk-offs is nothing short of magical. Fans see the game from the perspective of the players, broadcasters, and staff who live it year-round.

A Family-Friendly Home Run

These tours appeal to more than die-hard fans. They are a perfect outing for families, school groups, and visitors looking to experience the city through its most iconic team. Kids can touch the dugout railings, pose for photos where the pros sit, and learn about the Reds’ influence on both the game and the city of Cincinnati.

Even those new to baseball find something to love in the architecture and energy of Great American Ball Park. The view from the Handlebar lounge captures the downtown skyline, while the Champions Club showcases the modern comforts of America’s pastime.

A Year-Round Celebration of the Reds

While game days bring noise and excitement, the offseason brings a quieter kind of magic. The empty ballpark allows for reflection, a place where the ghosts of games past mingle with the promise of seasons ahead.

The Reds Hall of Fame itself embodies that spirit. Founded in 1958, it has inducted 93 individuals whose contributions to Reds baseball helped shape the sport. Exhibits honor the greats, from the Big Red Machine era to the legends of Crosley Field, keeping the franchise’s story alive for future generations.

Visitors can explore artifacts, interactive exhibits, and multimedia displays that bring the history of Reds baseball to life. With new displays added regularly, even returning fans will find something fresh to discover.

Plan Your Visit

The Reds Hall of Fame and Museum is open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 AM–5 PM, closed Mondays and on Sundays when the Cincinnati Bengals host home games at Paycor Stadium. The location within The Banks district makes it easy to pair a tour with a meal or drink at one of the nearby restaurants along the riverfront.

Comfortable shoes are recommended, and photography is welcome throughout most of the experience. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to ensure check-in before their scheduled tour.

Where Legends Live On

The offseason is often when fans count down the days until pitchers and catchers report. In Cincinnati, the offseason is an invitation to step onto the warning track, peer into the dugout, and imagine the roar of the crowd once again echoing through Great American Ball Park.

Whether you are a lifelong fan, a parent passing down the love of the game, or a visitor discovering Cincinnati’s sports legacy for the first time, these offseason tours offer a rare chance to see what makes Reds baseball such a vital part of the city’s soul.
