Raise a Glass at HighGrain Brewing Co.

HighGrain Brewing Co., which has operated a taproom and restaurant in Silverton since 2019,  has opened a second location at the former Brentwood Bowl located at 9167 Winton Road in Springfield Township.

The majority of HighGrain’s brewing operations have moved from Silverton to the new location, increasing its brewing space from 1,500 square feet to 25,000 square feet. The brewing operation began in April. The new restaurant area seats more than 300 with a full bar, private event space and larger kitchen. An outdoor area includes a covered patio and beer garden with free parking.

Joining HighGrain in the new space are two other local businesses: Revel OTR Urban Winery and La Terza Artisan Coffee Roasterie. Products from both will be available in the taproom, including wines, an espresso bar and breakfast pastries. While most of the brewing operations will move to Springfield Township, HighGrain will continue to keep the Silverton location open.

HighGrain is now ranked as the 10th largest brewery in the area. Matt Utter has been the brewmaster since the opening in 2019 after 10 years of brewing experience in Germany. Additional partners at HighGrain are Josh Jansen and Brian Liscano.
